CTET 2020: Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) every year. The main purpose to conduct this test is to make candidates eligible for the appointment as a teacher in central schools (KVS, NVS, Union Territory States Schools) for classes I to VIII.
It is mandatory for all candidates who are seeking appointment as a teacher in any Govt/Private centre schools should be CTET qualified.

CTET Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Paper 1 (Class I to V)
10+2 (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and [ 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education/ 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.E.ED)/2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education)]
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
Eligibility for Paper 2 (Class VI to VIII)
Graduation (B.A/B.sc/B.com etc) and [ 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)/1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)]
10+2 with at least 50% marks and [4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/ 4 years B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.]

How to Apply Online
To apply for Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2020 just follow the steps given below:
- Step 1: Log on to Central Teacher Eligibility Test official website www.ctet.nic.in.
- Step 2: Go to the link “Apply Online” and open the same.
- Step 3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No./ Application No.
- Step 4: Upload Scanned Images of latest photograph and signature.
- Step 5: Pay Examination Fee by e-challan or debit/credit card.
- Step 6: Print confirmation page for the record and future reference.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test contains two types of papers. Paper 1 for the Primary stage (Classes I-V) and Paper 2 for the Elementary stage (Classes V-VIII).
Total questions and marks will be 150. Each question carries 1 mark and there is no negative marking. The duration of the examination is 2 hours 30 minutes.

As you know, there are two levels of papers under the teacher eligibility test. The syllabus for both papers are different. The syllabus of Paper 1 and paper 2 follow as:

CTET exam is only qualifying in nature. Candidates who scored the following minimum marks get qualified.

After securing these following marks candidate becomes eligible for the appointment as a teacher in Central schools.
After Qualifying CTET
After qualifying the Central Teacher Eligibility Test, candidates become eligible for the teaching posts in primary and elementary classes. The qualified candidates get a Certificate with a validity period of seven years from the date of declaration of its result.
Moreover, there is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a qualified certificate.
