HPTET 2019: The official notification of HPTET June 2019 has been released on the official website. Interested and eligible candidates now can apply online for Himachal Pradesh Teacher eligibility test 2019. Like every year, the examination is being conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Education Board, Dharamshala.

The main purpose of organizing this examination is to make candidates eligible for the post of a teacher in state schools of Himachal up to VIII class.

HP TET Eligibility Criteria

TGT Arts

a) B.A./B.com with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.ed).
OR
b) B.A/B.com with at least 45% marks only for those who have passed B.Ed up to 30.08.2009) and 50% marks (for those who have passed B.Ed after 30.08.2009) 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and Procedure) regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
c) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
d) Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.A.Ed.
OR
e) B.A/B.Com with at least 50% and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

TGT Non-Medical

a) B.Sc (Non-Medical) with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.ed).

Note: Candidate appearing in the final year of the educational programme are also eligible for HP TET.

To apply for the Himachal TET 2019 just follow the steps given below:

Step 1: First of visit HP Board official website, www.hpbose.org and find the link of TET 2019 in the navigation bar.

Step 2: On the next screen, find the link of HP TET Apply Online.

Step 3: Firstly registered yourself by entering your SubjectDate of BirthName and Phone No.

Step 4: After then log in with your Date of BirthName and Phone No.

Step 5: The application form will open in the next step in which you have to enter your details.

Step 6: Fill your all details carefully and submit your application form.

Step 7: At last, submit your fee and print your application form for future reference.

Himachal Teacher Eligibility Test Contains three types of TET's 1) TGT Arts/ Non-Medical/ Medical TET2) Language Teacher Hindi /Punjabi/ Urdu TET and 3) Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) TET. You can check the exam and question paper pattern according to your stream or Language.

HPTET Qualifying Marks


These are the following minimum qualifying marks a candidate must have to score.

Candidates who scored above these minimum marks will be considered eligible for teaching posts. The minimum qualifying marks for General is 90 (60%) and 83 (55%) for OBC/SC/ST/PWD out of 150 marks.

HPTET Validity

After qualifying HP TET, you will be given a certificate that ensures your ability to become a teacher. Validity means how long you can use this certificate. The validity of HP TET certificate is 7 years from the issuing date of the certificate. There will be no restriction on the numbers of attempts a candidate can take for acquiring a TET certificate. Once you have qualified, you can give the exam again to improve your score.
