HPTET Online Form 2018

HPTET online application form 2018 will be available onwards 16 July 2018. Candidate can apply through the official website of HP TET -www.hpbose.org up to 08 August 2018. Before applying for the exam aspirants can check application form fee structure.

HPTET Apply Online

To apply for the Himachal TET 2018 just follow the steps given below:

Step 1: First of visit HP Board official website, www.hpbose.org and find the link of TET 2018 in the navigation bar.

Step 2: On the next screen, find the link of HP TET Apply Online.

Step 3: Firstly registered yourself by entering your Subject, Date of Birth, Name and Phone No.

Step 4: After then log in with your Date of Birth, Name and Phone No.

Step 5: The application form will open in the next step in which you have to enter your details.

Step 6: Fill your all details carefully and submit your application form.

Step 7: At last, submit your fee and print your application form for future reference.

HPTET Admit Card 2018

The admit card now available on the official website of HP Board www.hpbose.org/. Candidate can download the admit card for the exams on dated 02, 03, 08 & 09 September 2018. To download admit card follow the steps given below:

Step 1: First of all, visit the official website of HP Board www.hpbose.org/.

Step 2: On the navigation bar find the link of TET 2018.

Step 3: On the next screen you will able to see a link Click here to Download admit card.

Step 4: Visit the link and on the next screen, enter your Application No and Date of Birth and Hit Submit button.

By trying these four simple steps you will able to download your HPTET Admit card for 2018.

HPTET Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit

There is no upper age limit to apply for the TET. The age criteria are to be considered by appointing authority at the time of appointment as per R&P Rules.

2. Minimum Educational Qualifications

TGT Arts TET Eligibility Criteria

a) B.A./B.com with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.ed).
OR
b) B.A/B.com with at least 45% marks only for those who have passed B.Ed up to 30.08.2009) and 50% marks (for those who have passed B.Ed after 30.08.2009) 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and Procedure) regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
c) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
d) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.A.Ed.
OR
e) B.A/B.Com with at least 50% and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

TGT Non-Medical

b) BA with at least 50% marks with Hindi a s an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)

JBT TET Eligibility Criteria

a) 10+2 with 50% marks from a recognized board university and should possess two years JBT certificate course from an institute duly recognized by the Central State Govt.
OR
b) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and two years Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
c) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and two years Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
d) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
e) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.

Note: Candidate appearing in the final year of the educational programme are also eligible for HPTET.

HPTET Exam Pattern

Himachal Teacher Eligibility Test Contains three types of TET's 1) TGT Arts/ Non-Medical/ Medical TET, 2) Language Teacher Hindi /Punjabi/ Urdu TET and 3) Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) TET. You can check the exam and question paper pattern according to your stream or Language.

For JBT TET, question paper is divided into 5 sections and each section contains 30 MCQ's.

HPTET Qualifying Marks

These are the following minimum qualifying marks a candidate must have to score.

Section I: Child psychology and development, pedagogy, teaching-learning processes. - 30 Questions

Test items on child psychology, child development, pedagogy and Teaching learning process will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group 11 to 14 years. They will focus on understanding the characteristics needs and psychology of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.

The questions in the other sections will be based on the topics of the prescribed syllabus of the state for classes VI to VIII, but their difficulty standard, as well as linkages, could be up to 10+2 level of H.P. Board of School Education.

Section II: General Awareness, Current Affairs, HP Gk & Environmental Studies - 30 Questions

General Awareness: State Affairs, National Affairs, International Affairs, Person in News, New Schemes and recent happening in news.

Current Affairs: Last three months Current Affairs.

a) Questions comes from Unseen Passages, Prose, Noun, Pronouns, Adjectives, Active and Passive, Articles, English literature etc.

Section IV: Social Studies - 60 Questions

History:  Questions such as When, Where and How, The Earliest Societies, Political Developments, Kings and Kingdoms, Nationalist Movement etc. are asked from HP State Schools History Textbooks from classes VI to VIII.

Geography: Questions such as Planets, Solar System, Earth in the Solar System, Globe, Natural and Human Environment, Air, Water, Soil, settlement, transport, communication and Agriculture etc. are asked from HP State School Geography Textbooks from classes VI to VIII.

Social and Political Life: Questions such as Diversity, Government, Local Government, Democracy, State Government, The Judiciary and Social Justice etc. are asked from HP State School Social Science Textbooks from Classes VI to VIII.

TGT Non-Medical

HPTET Validity

After qualifying HPTET, you will be given a certificate that ensures your ability to become a teacher. Validity means how long you can use this certificate. The validity of HPTET certificate is 7 years from the issuing date of the certificate. There will be no restriction on the numbers of attempts a candidate can take for acquiring a TET certificate. Once you have qualified, you can give the exam again to improve your score.
