  • The Online application form 2019 is not available right now.
  • The notification is likely to be released in the month of July.
  • The whole examination is divided into two papers; Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • Paper 1 for I to V class teaching eligibility and Paper 2 for VI to VIII class teaching eligibility.

Exam Dates 2019

Tamil Nadu TET application form will be available very soon. Aspirants can check important dates for the Tamil Nadu TET exam 2019.

Tamil Nadu TET Eligibility Criteria

Paper I Eligibility

  • Candidates who have passed the high-secondary course (10 +2) Pattern AND
  • Diploma in Teacher Education / Diploma in Elementary Education from a Recognized Teacher Training Institute / DIET
Note: Candidates who had appeared in the final year of Diploma in Elementary Education examination can also apply for Paper 1.

Paper II Eligibility

  • Candidates who have passed a Bachelor's Degree (B.A. /B.Sc./B.Litt.) with Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History and Geography as major subjects in their Degree course or a Degree with any one of the equivalent subjects from a Recognized University under 10+2+3 Pattern AND
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education B.ed. from a recognized University and seeking an appointment as Graduate Teacher can write Paper II. The Candidates with B.Lit., (Tamil) degree should possess either B.Ed. or D.T.ED or TPT.
Note: Candidates who are appearing for the final year of B.ed. are also allowed to appear for Paper-II in Teacher Eligibility Test.

  • On the homepage, you will find a link to TNTET Exam 2019, carefully read all the instructions before applying.
  • After that open the application form and fill out the details of what has been asked.
  •  Finally, pay your fees and your application form will be submitted successfully.

TN TET Exam Pattern

Paper 1 Exam Pattern

In Paper 1, each section contains 30 MCQs and the maximum questions will be 150.

Each question carries 1 mark so maximum marks will be 150. The maximum time of 3 hours is given to complete the exam.

Paper 2 Exam Pattern

In Paper 2, the first three sections Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I and Language II contain 30 MCQs each of 30 marks. The fourth section either Mathematics and Science or Social Science or Subject other than these two will contain 60 MCQs of 60 Marks.

The maximum questions in Paper 2 will be 150. The maximum time of 3 hours will be given to complete the exam.

TNTET Answer Key 2017-18

After the exam a tentative answer key released by Tamil Nadu recruitment board. If someone has any objection to the tentative answer key then they can challenge with proof of each wrong answer.

The tentative answer key only available after the exam for a shorter period only. After reviewing all the objections a final answer key released by the recruitment board.

TNTET Result 2017-18
